Common authoritative DNS questions

Is there a free plan?

Yes. DNS Free includes two zones, 100 records per zone, 500,000 monthly queries, seven days of analytics, DNSSEC and API access. No payment is required.

Which DNS records are supported?

A, AAAA, CAA, CNAME, DS, HTTPS, MX, NAPTR, NS, PTR, SRV, SVCB, TLSA and TXT records are supported.

Can I import an existing zone?

Paid plans can transfer a zone from an existing primary using secondary DNS and AXFR. You can also recreate records through the panel or API.

Does HYE DNS support DNSSEC?

Yes. Every plan includes self-service signing and displays the DS values required by your registrar.

Can I use secondary DNS and AXFR?

Yes. DNS Starter, DNS Pro and DNS Business include secondary zones and AXFR support.

Can I manage reverse DNS?

Paid plans support IPv4 in-addr.arpa and IPv6 ip6.arpa zones.

Is API access included?

Yes. Scoped API tokens are available on every plan.

Can I upgrade later?
